Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police have confirmed there is no correlation between the deadly fire at the Terra Drone shophouse in Central Jakarta and allegations of data sabotage related to natural disasters in Sumatra.

 The clarification was issued on Friday (12/12/2025) amid online speculation linking the incident to the alleged disappearance of disaster-related data.

“So far, there is no correlation or indication of sabotage connected to the Terra Drone fire,” said Central Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Chief Superintendent Roby Heri Saputra, as cited by antaranews.com

He stressed that investigators are working strictly based on facts found at the scene, including the presence of fatalities, and not on narratives circulating on social media. 

Central Jakarta Police Chief Senior Superintendent Susatyo Purnomo Condro added that there has been no communication or request from investigators handling disaster cases in Sumatra regarding the fire.

The blaze, which occurred on Tuesday, killed 22 people. Police said preliminary findings indicate the fire was triggered by a large drone battery that fell, caused sparks, and ignited flammable materials inside the building.
