Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A total of 54 Indonesian citizens from Shwe Kokko, Myanmar, were transferred to Thailand on Friday (12/12/2025) as part of the second phase of a government-led repatriation process, the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Yangon confirmed.
The repatriation targets Indonesians affected by online scam operations in Kayin State. The first phase brought 56 Indonesians safely to Indonesia earlier this week.
“They crossed from Myawaddy to Mae Sot by land after receiving cross-border clearance from Myanmar and Thai authorities,” the Embassy said in a statement, as published by antaranews.com.
The evacuees are receiving full assistance from the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok, including immigration facilitation and transport, before their scheduled flight to Indonesia early Saturday.
Upon arrival at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, they will be handled by relevant agencies for assessment and further assistance.
