inp.polri.go.id - Batam. The Head of Public Relations of the Riau Islands Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Nona Pricillia Ohei, stated that security is a key factor in maintaining the stability and attractiveness of a region. 

She stated that Riau Islands Province, particularly Batam, possesses a significant asset in their friendly and humble people, enabling a safe environment that supports sustainable investment and development.

Nona emphasized police's commitment to maintaining regional security as an effort to support investment growth, both in the government and business sectors. 

Security is seen as a crucial element in fostering investor confidence, encouraging them to invest in the Riau Islands region.

"We are at the forefront of creating a safe and conducive environment," she explained on Wednesday (1/14/2026).

Currently, she said, the Riau Islands Regional Police have 10 priority programs under the Riau Islands Police Chief, Inspector General Asep Safrudin, which serve as guidelines for carrying out police duties. 

On the other hand, Nona said that her party will continue to adapt with a more humane approach, bringing them closer to the community, and enhancing their professionalism in providing services.

"Regarding regional stability, collaboration between the Indonesian National Police (INP) and all elements of society, from workers to business owners, is crucial to maintaining a conducive environment. This collaboration aims to ensure accurate information circulating in the community and prevent misunderstandings or the development of false opinions regarding the public order and security situation," said Nona.
