Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Hundreds of traffic police will be deployed to secure routes leading to the MPR/DPR Building on Friday (16/8/24) for the annual session, state address, and budget speech in celebration of Indonesia's 79th Independence Day.

“We will implement situational traffic control to ensure smooth flow. Around 500-600 traffic officers will be deployed,” stated Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional  Police Traffic Director Senior Superintendent Latif Usman on Thursday.

He explained that traffic adjustments will be made as needed, focusing on maintaining smooth traffic.

If necessary, traffic diversions will include:

1. Traffic from  Lapangan Tembak traffic light toward Gatot Subroto Street will be redirected or diverted to the Ladokgi flyover.
2. Traffic from Inner-City Toll Road exiting at Pulau Dua off-ramp will continue toward Tomang.
3. Traffic from East Palmerah Street  toward Gelora Street will be redirected to Tentara Pelajar Street  or Permata Hijau Street.
4. Traffic from Gerbang Pemuda Street  toward Gelora Street will turn left onto Asia Afrika Street.

Further situational adjustments will apply to other routes.
