Inp.polri.go.id - West Lombok. Extreme weather in West Nusa Tenggara has caused a massive tree to fall in South Muhajirin, Narmada Village, West Lombok on Saturday (3/22/2025).
Although no lives are lost, the tree has blocked the road and caused traffic disruptions for many.
Responding to the incident, police immediately dispatched to the location. By working together with the people, the authorities are able to move the fallen trees and clear the road for people to access.
The Acting Head of Mataram Sub-regional City Police, Police Senior Inspector I Gusri Agung Suriawan, confirms the incident and says the downpour, accompanied by strong wind, has been the culprit behind the fallen tree.
"Moments after we received the information, members of Narmada Sector Police immediately went into the location. Along with the people in the location, our members successfully clear the road from the tree and its debris and reopen the road access," says Gusti Irawan.
Considering the current ongoing extreme weather, Mataram Sub-regional Police urged the public to be aware of similar incidents.
“We asked the public to be more careful and tell us whenever there is an emergency situation such as fallen trees or other disaster so we can immediately handle it,” conclude Gusti.
