inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Unit has uncovered several methods employed by DJS, a police member who was colluding with drug dealer Ishak in West Kutai, East Kalimantan.
This was revealed after the arrest of Mery Christine, the prospective wife and treasurer of Ishak's drug syndicate, and Marselus, the liaison.
"Marselus Vernandus acted as a liaison between DJS and Mery, introducing her to Ishak, a drug dealer operating in West Kutai, West Kalimantan," explained Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Drug Criminal Investigation at the INP Criminal Investigation Unit, in a statement on Monday (5/18/2026).
Based on the results of Marselus's questioning, he admitted to receiving a voice message from DJS urging him for a drug arrest for his release at the end of the year.
"He asked Marselus for help conveying the information to Mery, who then told suspect Ishak to lure Fathur into selling more than 1 kg of his methamphetamine to Ishak so that he could be arrested and the evidence would be used as material for his Annual Release," said Eko.
According to Eko, DJS offered the plan with the promise of guaranteeing the security of Ishak's drug business operating in West Kutai, East Kalimantan.
DJS then promised that if he succeeded in securing the arrest, he would guarantee the security of Ishak's network operating in West Kutai, East Kalimantan.
