inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Personnel from the Mobile Brigade Corps of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police were deployed to assist in the firefighting process at the Sentra Kosambi Warehouse complex in Tangerang Regency.

The Mobile Brigade Corps Search and Rescue (SAR) team also operated an Armored Water Cannon (AWC) to support the firefighting process.

Upon arrival at the scene, Mobile Brigade personnel, along with members of the Teluknaga Police, immediately secured the perimeter and assisted firefighters. The fire reportedly affected several buildings, including an online store warehouse, a motor vehicle spare parts warehouse, and a plastic warehouse.

Henik Maryanto, Head of the Mobile Brigade Corps of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, stated that the deployment of personnel was a form of rapid police response to assist in emergency response while maintaining public safety.

"We ensure that personnel in the field move quickly to assist in the handling process, secure the location, and prevent the situation from escalating and endangering the public," said Henik, Monday (8/10/2026).

At around 6:00 PM WIB, the fire was successfully extinguished. There were no fatalities. Based on initial information obtained at the scene, the fire is suspected to have been caused by an electrical fault. However, the exact cause of the fire still requires further investigation.

The Mobile Brigade Corps urges the public and warehouse managers to ensure that electrical installations and equipment are in a safe condition to prevent fires. If they experience any emergencies or security disturbances, the public should immediately contact the police at 110 for prompt action.
