Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police have revealed that the suspect in the illegal access of the Setiabudi Police Station’s Google Business account, is a seasoned hacker. 

Investigations indicate that the suspect, identified as KTD (22), has previously targeted a bank call center and Traveloka accounts, according to antaranews.com.

"He is a long-time player; the suspect has committed numerous crimes," said Senior Superintendent Ade Safri Simanjuntak, the Metro Jaya Police Director of Special Criminal Investigation, on Friday (20/9/2024).

Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi, the Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations, added that KTD is believed to be part of a syndicate involved in hacking Google Business accounts.

Investigators are currently probing the group further.

"The information altered by the suspect includes that of various call centers, such as Setiabudi Police Station, Pasar Minggu Police Station, FIF Astra, Traveloka, Mega Auto Finance, Agoda, LinkAja, Bank Mandiri, Bank BRI, Citibank, Bank BNI, and Bank Permata," he explained.

He urged the public to remain vigilant to prevent further victimization.
