Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Traffic police and state toll road operator PT Jasa Marga implemented a contraflow traffic scheme on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road on Friday (16/1/2026) to ease heavy congestion during the long holiday.

The measure was applied under police discretion, with contraflow activated toward Cikampek from kilometer 47 to kilometer 65 starting at 11.51 am, following an earlier adjustment between kilometer 47 and kilometer 55 due to surging traffic volume.

“The contraflow was extended because vehicle flow exceeded normal capacity on this corridor,” said Ria Marlinda Paallo, the Vice President of Corporate Secretary and Legal Affairs at PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, as cited by antaranews.com

Authorities said the temporary traffic engineering aims to restore smooth traffic flow and will be lifted once conditions normalize. Ria urged motorists to prioritize safety, ensure vehicle readiness, maintain sufficient fuel and electronic toll balance, and follow officers’ instructions.

PT Jasa Marga projected more than 288,000 vehicles would head eastbound through Cikampek Main Toll Gate during the holiday period.
