The East Kalimantan Regional Police continue their efforts to oversee the food security program, reinvigorating it through supervision activities at the Industrial Farming Pit J area, a post-mining area owned by PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC), in Singa Gembara Village, North Sangatta District, East Kutai Regency.
The East Kalimantan Regional Police Supervisory Team, led by Senior Superintendent Yudhi Suhariyadi, conducted a direct inspection of the cattle farming facilities, one of the leading sectors in the Industrial Farming program developed by the East Kutai Sub-regional Police.
The visit focused on examining the condition of the pens, livestock health, feed availability, the cleanliness of the farm, and the management system implemented by the farmer groups.
This step was taken to ensure that the entire program is running according to targets and is able to deliver sustainable results. Amidst government efforts to strengthen national food security, the Industrial Farming area in East Kutai is considered an example of the successful utilization of post-mining land into a productive area that generates economic value for the community.
Yudhi emphasized that the food security program implemented by the Indonesian National Police (INP) must have a real impact on the community. Therefore, ongoing monitoring and support will ensure the program runs effectively and sustainably.
"This program is not only about improving livestock production, but also building community independence in managing the food sector. We want to ensure that every available potential can be optimally utilized and provide sustainable economic benefits," explained Yudhi Suhariyadi on Tuesday (6/2/2026).
To date, the Industrial Farming area developed by the East Kutai Sub-regional Police continues to show positive progress. This program integrates the agriculture, livestock, and fisheries sectors into one productive area, which is expected to become a model for developing food security based on post-mining land use in East Kalimantan.
With ongoing monitoring and evaluation, the Industrial Farming program in East Kutai is expected to continue to grow and become a tangible contribution from INP in supporting national food security.
