inp.polri.go.id - Central Jakarta. The police confirmed that there was a fire incident at a house on Rawa Sawah 2 Raya street, Kampung Rawa Sub-district, Johar Baru District. The fire, which is suspected to have originated from an electrical short circuit, caused panic among local residents.

The Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Susatyo Purnomo Condro, said that his party received a report of the fire at around 15:15 pm.

"We immediately deployed personnel to the location to assist in the evacuation and security process," explained Susatyo, Tuesday (6/10/2025).

According to Susatyo, the fire occurred on the second floor of the house, which is inhabited by a family of five. The fire was successfully extinguished at around 15:50 pm.

"The fire could be extinguished quickly thanks to the quick response of firefighters who deployed their seven fire engines," he said.
