inp.polri.go.id - Wamena. Jayawijaya Sub-regional Police ensured that the security and public order situation remained under control following a gunfight between officers and the Armed Criminal Group.

"We remain committed to maintaining the stability of security and public order in Jayawijaya Regency," explained Jayawijaya Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Anak Agung Made Satriya Bimantara as quoted by Antara, Tuesday (6/10/2025).

According to Bimantara, patrols are carried out routinely in the area. This is to prevent criminal acts by individuals or armed criminal groups.

"We are intensively carrying out routine patrols in the jurisdiction of the Jayawijaya Sub-regional Police to provide security for the public," he said.

He appealed to the public to remain calm, vigilant and immediately report to the authorities if they find suspicious activities to the police. In addition, it is hoped that the disturbances in the area will immediately subside so people can return to their daily activities.
