The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps Director of Law Enforcement, Brigadier General Aan Suhanan says that the Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Forum Summit security operations have prepared emergency routes, evacuation routes, and backup routes. “For our security operations in traffic, we have prepared 16 routes which includes emergency routes, evacuation routes and including backup routes,” says Aan on Monday (10/9/2023). He also states that his party have been trained to carry out the Summit security operations, while reporting that several AIS Forum delegates have arrived in Bali. “Yesterday there are several head of states and delegates that have arrived to the locations, while today, there would be 4 VVIPs that would arrive with other followed tomorrow on the day of the event,” he says further. The One-Star General also conveys his gratitude to the people of Bali who jointly maintain the security situation in the region during the AIS Forum Summit. “So far, we assessed that everything has been going smoothly and the guests have arrived on time. We would also like to say thank you to the people of Bali who warmly greets the guests of AIS Forum Summit,” says Aan. Aan reveals that on the traffic engineering, his party would not close the road permanently. “Then regarding the traffic engineering, there are no permanent traffic closure, which means we would only reserve the road while the delegates passed while divert public traffic flow to another route,” explains Aan.
