The Tourism and Creative Economy has to be optimized in ensuring sustainable growth that focus on community interest, says Sandiaga Uno in his online remarks at AIS Blue Economy High-Level Dialogue: Forging A New Era of Sustainable Growth” in Bali on Monday (10/9/2023). “The integration of tourism and creative economy is the key,” says the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy. On pushing that effort, Uno presents various programs and policies to support the realization of top quality and sustainable tourism. The programs include efforts in reducing carbon emission, preserving natural resources, culture and local traditions. Meanwhile, in creative economy sector, its development is based on creative space, innovation, and strengthening the intellectual enrichment. "We have several tourism polytechnics that could provide trainings and education to the people in improving their skills and working capabilities,” says Uno. He then invites all parties to continue innovating and collaborate to focus on realizing long-term goals and commitment in continuous development. “I believe that with integrating creativity, culture, and sustainable principalities, we could open up many growth opportunities while still maintaining our diverse identities and rich resources,” remarks Uno.
