inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) is monitoring various online gaming platforms, including Roblox, to prevent them from becoming a medium for spreading radicalization among children.
BNPT Head, Eddy Hartono, stated that Roblox is developing an identification system for those accessing the game.
"Lastly, we monitored it (Roblox) as they will identify users using a camera. So, if they capture a child's face, their access will be denied," said the BNPT Head on Wednesday (1/31/2025).
He mentioned that the government has also issued Government Regulation (PP) Number 17 of 2025 concerning Governance of Electronic System Implementation for Child Protection, to protect children in the digital space.
In this regulation, the BNPT Head explained that online gaming platform owners are required to provide verification and security for those accessing the game.
"With this Government Regulation (PP) Tunas, we hope to be able to restrict our children under 18 from accessing social media and online games," said the Head of BNPT.
In addition, the BNPT continues to provide education and literacy regarding the spread of radicalism in the digital space.
Previously, the Minister of Communication and Digital, Meutya Hafid, continued to promote Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 concerning the Governance of Electronic Systems for Child Protection (PP Tunas), a digital regulation for children targeting parents.
