A coordinated effort by the Bali Regional Police has enhanced security measures during the APAO Congress Fundraising Run, an integral part of Operation Gapura Agung I 2024. The event, held at the BNDCC 2 Lobby, witnessed the participation of 350 delegates of the 39th Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Congress on Saturday (24/2/24). The APAO Congress Fundraising Run serves as an important part of the 39th Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Congress itinerary during their stay on the Island of the Gods. The 5 kilometer run showcased both physical prowess and community spirit. Senior Superintendent Daneil Widya Mucharam, the Head of Operation Pam, said that the security arrangements were designed to ensure the smooth running of all APAO Congress events in Bali from 22 to 25 February 2024. "With 6000 ophthalmologists from all over the Asia-Pacific region gathering, our primary concern is to facilitate the smooth and safe conduct of all APAO activities on the Island of the Gods until the delegates return safely to their home countries," he said.
