Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps have switched the codename for the vehicle special plate number. The said replacement is replacing RF and QH to ZZ. Police ensure that its registration would be stricter than the previous system. “This special plate number with this code (ZZ) will only be used by government officials vehicles, not private,” said INP Traffic Corps official, Brigadier General Yusri Yunus on Monday (1/29/2024). Furthermore, police said that the models and type of the vehicle will also be considered by the system during registration. The high specification or expensive vehicle obviously cannot be registered as governmental official vehicle and thus will not be permitted to use the special plate number. “If we saw land cruiser that costs us billions and they use ZZP, ZZT, or other ZZ plate number, I say that those are fake and should be investigated. Why? Because those special plate numbers are only for the government official vehicles,” says Yusri. Moreover, Yusri adds that if police found any traffic violations by the vehicles using the special plate number, police will investigate the case thoroughly by searching the owner’s data and the status of the relevant Motor Vehicle Number (TNKB).
