The joint personnel of Indonesian Military Force (TNI), Indonesian National Police (INP), and City government deployed to secure the football match of Persebaya Surabaya against PSIS Semarang in Gelora Bung Tomo stadium. The Sub-regional City Police Ops Section Chief, Superintendent Wibowo said that his party have ensured 2,665 personnel have been prepared for the security operation. “We have prepared our security personnel in ensuring security and comfort of the football spectators and guarantee the match goes smoothly,” said Wibowo on Tuesday (1/30/2024). Other than involving military and city government officials, Surabaya Sub-regional City Police also coordinated with stadium security officials and steward to increase their security operations in every corner of the stadium. On the other hand, Surabaya Sub-regional City Police Public Relations Chief also implored football manias to comply with the law and instructions from the police or football committee during the match.
