Inp.polri.go.id – Surabaya. Approximately 112,204 vehicles have left Surabaya City on the D-2 of Eid Al-Fitr. The number was recorded after leaving the city through Warugunung Toll Gate. "Vehicles exiting through Warugunung Toll Gate are 112,204. While those going in through the toll gate are 110,335 since last April 4th to now," says the Vice Head of East Java Regional Police Traffic Unit, Superintendent Lukman Cahyono on Monday (4/8/2024). Lukman explains that the traffic flow for the 2024 Homecoming Season is increasing for 17.35% than last 2023. "There is an increase of 17,000. This number still could grow as the Eid is still ahead of us," says Lukman. On the other hand, in overcoming issues at the road, his party has carried out various anticipatory steps, particularly in these last few days. "Not only managing the homecoming flow, but we also managed the traffic flow as there are many who would go around tourist destination or family houses around the city," said Lukman.
