The Indonesian National Police (INP) reminds public who are on travel to not stop at the side of the road as it could cause traffic accidents. “We implore the public to not use the side of the road for you to take a rest as it would not only endanger you and the others, but would also hinder the traffic flow,” said the spokesperson of INP, Senior Superintendent Iroth Lauren Recky on Monday (4/8/2024). According to him, the public also implored to comply with the traffic law and follow the guide of officials at the field. Furthermore, Iroth also urged the public to take their 30 minutes at the rest area, as it would rejuvenate their energy to continue their travel. However, he reminds them not to take their time longer than 30 minutes as it would cause long queues and eventually traffic jams around the rest area. “If the rest area is full, you could go to the arterial road to rest in several places there,” said Iroth. Moreover, Iroth continues to remind the public to maintain their prime condition, be it physically and their vehicle. Public also implored to have sufficient e-toll balance. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
