The Team of Mobile Brigade Gegana of Papua Regional Police to sterilize the location of Vote Recapitulation Open Plenary Session at Horison Ultima Entrop Hotel, Jayapura city, Papua, Monday (3/11/2024). The initiative was taken to ensure security and comfort of the meeting. “A team from the Mobile Brigade unit was dispatched for sterilization operation. The initiative is also part of our effort in ensuring the meeting is free from unforeseen threats,” said Papua Regional Police PR Chief, Senior Superintendent Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo. Benny explains that the Gegana unit conducted their operation in accordance to the Standard Operating Procedure. The operation not only held inside the room, but also around the vicinity of the room. “Other than sterilizing the room, personnel involved will also check the attendants and their items with metal detectors when going in and out of the room,” continued Benny. Furthermore, Benny also reveal the activity aims to anticipate any dangerous items from going inside the room which could have threaten or halt the meeting. (ad/pt/pr/nm)
