Semarang Sub-regional Police Chief, Senior Superintendent M. Syahduddi said that dozens of bottles and pieces of wood were secured during a raid on Thursday (5/1/2025) morning.

He suspected that the items would be used to trigger security disturbances during the May 1, 2025 Labor Day Rally.

He said that all the items that were secured had been taken to the Headquarters for further investigation.

"CCTV around the location is also being checked to identify parties suspected of hiding the items," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Artanto appealed to all participants in the May Day rally to convey their aspirations peacefully and orderly.

"Don't be provoked by individuals who want to create chaos," he added.

He also ensured that the personnel deployed to secure the action prioritized humanist principles and predetermined standard operational procedures.
