inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Metro Jaya Regional Police thwarted the circulation of 10,100 ecstasy pills, along with the arrest of the couriers, AP (36) and FK (29).

The two suspects were arrested at PIK 2 Community Park Bus Stop, East Kosambi, Tangerang, Banten Province on Sunday (10/6/2024) night.

“Based on the statement of the two suspects, previously they were convicts of a drug criminal case,” said the Drug Criminal Investigation Director of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Donald Parlaungan in his official statement on Monday (10/7/2024).

The director explains that the two suspects were about to sell the illicit items across Jakarta. They had acquired the ecstasy pills from a fugitive from Denmark.

“We will optimize our investigation on this case, on where they smuggled it and from where it originated, including its involvement in the money laundering case,” explains Donald.
