The Head of Gorontalo Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Desmont Harjendro responded to the issues relating to police members involved in illegal activities. He stressed that Gorontalo Regional Police will not tolerate any disobedience from its members and will act firm towards those who has violated the laws.

He highlights if there are any members who have proven to be involved in illegal activities, then firm sanctions will be given to them without any exception.

“Gorontalo Regional Police is committed to enforce the law with justice and transparency. If there are any members involved in illegal activities, either illegal gold mining, drug smuggling, or any other activities that violates the law, we will not hesitate to give them sanctions according to the applicable law,” says Desmont on Monday (10/7/2024).

Furthermore, he highlights that Gorontalo Regional Police will continue to boost their internal monitoring to ensure its member integrity. On the other hand, he also appeal to the public to also report any disobedient police member to the institution.

“Gorontalo Regional Police will continue to safeguard public trust and ensure its members to work with high professionalism,” Desmont concluded.
