inp.polri.go.id - Aceh. The Aceh Regional Police Marine and Air Directorate uncovered an allegation of subsidized fertilizer misuse that was about to be sent to the outer island in Aceh Besar Regency.
Head of the Directorate, Superintendent Risnan Aldino says that his party has secured the suspect of the crime and the evidence of two tons of subsidized fertilizer.
“The case was uncovered thanks to the public report who saw a truck that was about to cross to Aceh Island from Banda Aceh,” says Risnan on Saturday (11/8/2025).
The report says that the truck was crossing to Lamteung Port, Nasi Island from Ulee Lheue Port, Banda Aceh City.
Following the report, a team of police was dispatched to the Ulee Lheue Port for investigation and saw the truck was already aboard the ship.
“The team then questioned a truck driver with the initials of AN. AN says that his truck was carrying a ton of subsidized fertilizer and others such as bricks,” says Risnan.
The team then inspected the truck's cargo and discovered that the fertilizer was government subsidized fertilizer that was supposed to be distributed to other areas, not to the island in Aceh Besar Regency.
"The subsidized fertilizer in the truck consisted of 26 sacks of urea and 13 sacks of NPK fertilizer, weighing a total of two tons. The inspection revealed that the fertilizer originated from the Samahani area of Aceh Besar Regency," he explained.
He concluded by stating that AN, along with the truck and its cargo, was being held at the Aceh Regional Police's Water Police Command Headquarters for further investigation.
AN is suspected of committing the crime of misuse of subsidized fertilizer as stipulated in Article 6 Paragraph (1) letter b in conjunction with Article 1 Subsections 2e and 3e of Emergency Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 1955 concerning the investigation, prosecution, and judicial proceedings of economic matters.
He is also charged with violating Article 110 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2014 concerning trade and/or Article 372 in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) point 1 of the Criminal Code.
