"Last year, the plan was for self-sufficiency to be reached in four years. And now, we are grateful that we will reach this goal in the next one month. According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), our rice production is secure. Production has increased by 4.1 million tons, the highest since the BPS data changes," he said, as reported by Antaranews, Saturday (11/8/2025).

The increase in Indonesian rice production in 2025, surpassing previous achievements, demonstrates that President Prabowo Subianto's administration is beginning to yield concrete success. This is further supported by the strong stock of the Government Rice Reserve (CBP), which ensures no imports.

It is estimated that rice production equivalent to rice in 2025 will reach 34.77 million tons, thanks to President Prabowo Subianto's policies strengthening the agricultural sector and improving farmer welfare. This figure is a huge upgrade compared to the previous year's production of over 30 million tons.

He stated that current rice production and stock levels are ideal for maintaining food security. He projects that CBP stocks will last more than three years by the end of the year, the highest achievement achieved by the government and the State Logistics Agency (Bulog).

"Our national rice reserves are projected to exceed 3 million tons by the end of the year. This is also the highest in the last five years," he said.
