Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police have taken preventive measures to stop infiltrators or provocateurs from disrupting labor protests near the House of Representatives (DPR) building and the Horse Statue area in Central Jakarta.
Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Brigadier General. Ade Ary Syam Indradi said on Monday (22/9/2025) that police have communicated with labor groups to ensure the demonstrations remain peaceful.
“There’s a mutual commitment to watch out for irresponsible parties. If anyone tries to exploit the situation, quick communication will help protect the reputation of the labor organizations,” he explained, as quoted by antaranews.com
More than 4,100 personnel have been deployed, including units from the Indonesian National Police (INP) headquarters, Metro Jaya Police, Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police, 200 Marine, and 30 personnel from the Jakarta administration.
Chief Ade emphasized that security would be carried out in a humanistic way, stressing that protesters are “our brothers and sisters exercising their rights.”
Traffic diversions were also implemented around the House area to ease congestion, with alternative routes prepared for motorists.
