Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A member of Metro Jaya Regional Police Drug Criminal Investigation Directorate was attacked during an investigation at Ambon Village, West Jakarta.

Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi says the incident occured on Sunday. Following the attack, the officer had to be treated to hospital for further medical attention.

"Yes, there was an issue during the arrest of the drug perpetrator. Regarding one of our members who suffered injuries due to the assault, he is now currently in treatment and is recovering and healing. Everything is okay according to the doctor who treated him," explained Ade on Monday (10/14/2024).

Ade regrets the assault incident towards the police officer. He assured that his party will take firm action and search the agressors.

"We will look into the incident according to the appliable law. Police will conduct thorough investigation to search those who are involved in the attack," says Ade.

He also highlights that his party is committed to eradicate the drug flow in the province. He also invites all parties to join and support the police effort.
