Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police discovered a clandestine synthetic marijuana laboratory, which potentially saved 105,000 people.

Deputy Chief of Metro Jaya Police Brigadier General Suyudi Ario Seto revealed  on Thursday (2/5/2024) that evidence seized from suspects hinted at potential production of 35 kg of synthetic tobacco. 

Among the arrested were F, the financier; GBH, a reseller; H and S, laboratory workers; and BBH, a warehouse guard. 

The operation stemmed from a tip about a shipment containing MDMB-4EN-Pinacca. 

Suspect BBH was caught receiving a package with yellow gel containing MDMB-4EN-PINACA. 

Further investigation unveiled a manufacturing lab in Sentul, Bogor, while the initial raid site served as a warehouse for raw materials. 

Suspect F sourced materials from China using cryptocurrency. 

Four suspects had yet to receive promised payments of Rp80-Rp100 million. 

The suspects face charges under various sections of Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics.
