inp.polri.go.id - South Kalimantan. The South Kalimantan Regional Police Traffic Directorate, through their “Friendly Police” program, came to visit Ukhuwah Islamic Elementary School to educate the kids on the importance of traffic discipline. 

In the event, police personnel came and greeted the schoolchildren with warm smiles and used the easy to understand language to ensure the message was well received.

The Director of Traffic for the South Kalimantan Regional Police, Senior Superintendent M. Fahri Siregar, stated that educating children about traffic safety from an early age is a strategic step in developing a generation that is aware of the importance of road safety. 

"Knowledge instilled from an early age will be remembered long into adulthood," he said.

During the event, students were encouraged to learn through various games and quizzes relating to traffic regulations. In the game, personnel prepared prizes and gifts for those who successfully answered the question.

The program is expected to instill a culture of discipline and environmental stewardship in students.

The principal of the school, Syaiful Rahman, expressed his appreciation for the visit to his school. 

"We hope activities like this can continue, as they are very beneficial in fostering an understanding of traffic discipline and introducing police officers as role models for children," he said.
