Inp.polri.go.id - Poso. The Poso Sub-regional Police have deployed 40 personnel to assist residents affected by the recent earthquake in South Pamona District, Central Sulawesi.
"Teams are now operating in the three hardest-hit villages, Tindoli, Tolambo, and Tokilo—with support from local police offices,” said Poso Police Head of Operations Assistant Senior Inspector Sudji Hartono on Saturday (26/7/2025).
Officers have set up relief posts, public kitchens, and conducted clean-up operations and health services. Social support includes aid distribution and trauma healing, especially for children and the elderly.
"This is part of our humanitarian commitment. We will continue helping residents recover and restore normalcy,” Chief Sudji added, urging the public to stay calm and follow official guidance.
The 5.4-magnitude quake struck on Thursday evening, originating from a shallow fault in the Poso active zone, with a depth of 10 km.
