inp.polri.go.id - West Java. Cidadap Bridge was severely damaged after being hit by heavy rain on Thursday (6/3/25) night. As a result of the incident, road access connecting the two villages was completely cut off.

Head of Public Relations of the West Java Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Jules Abraham Abast said that the high intensity rain caused the river water to overflow and erode the bridge foundation until it collapsed about 4 meters.

The collapse of the bridge is said to also cause landslides around the area and worsened the condition.

"We urge residents who want to go to Loji and Kiara Dua around Pajampangan to find alternative routes because this bridge cannot be accessed," said Jules Abraham on Friday (3/7/2025).

The police and military are also on guard at the location to ensure security and review the current condition of the bridge. Until now, the 50-meter long bridge with a width of 8 meters cannot be passed by vehicles, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled.

"Until now the condition of the bridge is broken and cannot be passed by any vehicles," he explained.
