Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. State electricity firm PLN has fully restored the power system in Aceh following recent disasters, with all 20 main substations now operating normally, PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said on Sunday (21/12/2025).

“Aceh’s electricity system has fully recovered. All substations are operating normally, supported by restored generation and transmission systems,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Darmawan explained that the recovery was made possible by the full operation of generation and transmission infrastructure, including the Nagan Raya coal fired power plant, which now supplies electricity optimally across the province. Key transmission lines, including Nagan Sigli, Arun Bireuen, and Pangkalan Brandan Langsa, have also been restored after being disrupted by floods and landslides.

PLN is now prioritizing the acceleration of power distribution to residential areas, particularly in locations with difficult terrain and limited access. Restoration is being carried out gradually with strict safety measures, especially in areas still affected by water or mud.
