inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has arrived in Tokyo, Japan, for his first official visit to Japan as President to enhance cooperation between the two countries in trade, technology, education, forestry, and the environment.

According to an official statement received in Jakarta on Sunday evening, the President and his entourage arrived at Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan, at 7:10 p.m. local time.

At the bottom of the aircraft, the President was greeted by Japanese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Iwao Horii, Japanese Chief of State Protocol Tadayuki Miyashita, Indonesian Ambassador to Japan Nurmala Kartini Sjahrir, and Indonesian Defense Attaché in Tokyo, Rear Admiral Hidayaturrahman.

From the airport, President Prabowo proceeded directly to his accommodations.

During his visit to Japan, President Prabowo is scheduled to make a state call on Japanese Emperor Naruhito. In addition, the Head of State is also scheduled to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.

Indonesia and Japan have enjoyed a comprehensive cooperative relationship for 68 years across a number of strategic areas, from economics and politics to socio-cultural issues. In recent years, relations between the two countries have continued to show a positive trend.

This visit reflects the long-standing strong friendship between Indonesia and Japan, built on mutual trust and respect.

President Prabowo's visit is expected to further open new opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration and strengthen the partnership between Indonesia and Japan.
