Prabowo views the two countries as the current world's great powers. He believes China and the US will be wise to maintain the existing peace. "We believe that they are aware of the great responsibility on their shoulders," Prabowo when spoke about US and China at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Shangri-La Dialogue 2022 forum in Singapore, on Sunday (12/06). /22). Prabowo said China will hold their responsibilities with wisdom and benevolence. According to him, this is in accordance with the teachings of Chinese philosophers, where power and leadership must always come with benevolence. He also believes the US will do the same. Prabowo called the US as a country that has always fought against colonialism. "We respect the US. The US has actually proven to be an anti-colonial power, they were one of the first British colonies and they fought against it," he said. On that occasion, Prabowo said that Indonesia is a country that supports an orderly world. He emphasized Indonesia's attitude which respects the interests of all countries. "We have succeeded in achieving it with our own circle in ASEAN, and because of that, this is what we also want to try to achieve in this situation," Prabowo said.
