inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto instructed all law enforcement officials to expand efforts to curb illegal mining practices in Indonesia in order to save state assets worth trillions of rupiah.
The Head of State delivered this directive in an interview session in Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung Islands, on the sidelines of the handover of confiscated state assets from the illegal mining case to PT Timah Tbk in Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung.
"This is a proud achievement so we will continue it. We save state assets for our people," said President Prabowo, Monday (10/6/2025).
The confiscated assets are six smelter units belonging to PT Tinindo Internusa worth Rp6 trillion to IDR 7 trillion, which are among the assets confiscated by the Attorney General's Office in the alleged corruption case of tin trade with an estimated state loss of Rp300 trillion.
President Prabowo declared this success a joint achievement between law enforcement and the state defense apparatus.
He emphasized that similar operations will continue in other regions to ensure that Indonesia's natural resource wealth is truly managed for the greatest prosperity of the people.
"This is proof that the government is serious and determined to eradicate smuggling, eradicate illegal mining, and eradicate all those who violate the law," President Prabowo emphasized.
