In order to ensure the quality and safety of food for participants in the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, the Food Safety (FS) Team from the Bengkulu Regional Police Health Service Unit conducted food inspections and food safety tests at the MBG Kitchen of the Kandang Mas Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG), on Monday (10/6/2025) morning.

The activity began at 05.00 WIB and was led by MBG FS Team personnel, Brigadier Hengki and First Brigadier Okta. The inspection was carried out thoroughly, covering organoleptic aspects (shape, taste, smell, and color) as well as testing for the content of hazardous chemical compounds, such as arsenic, cyanide, formalin, and nitrite.

The types of food examined consisted of white rice, watermelon, balado tofu, vegetables (carrots and mustard greens), and soy sauce chicken. Based on the inspection results, no signs of rotting, discoloration, or containing hazardous chemicals were found. All menus were declared safe and suitable for consumption by beneficiaries of the MBG program in schools.

Head of the Bengkulu Regional Police Medical and Health Division, Senior Superintendent Agustini, stated that this inspection activity is a form of police concern for public health and support for the government's program in fulfilling the nutritional needs of school children.

"Through this Food Safety inspection activity, we ensure that every food consumed by children in the MBG program is truly safe, hygienic, and meets health standards. This activity will continue to be carried out routinely to ensure the quality of nutrition and food safety," said Agustini.
