President Joko Widodo, better known as Jokowi,  has issued a Presidential Decree aimed at mobilizing various government agencies to support the hosting of the FIFA U-17 World Cup. Presidential Decree Number 4 of 2023 on Support for the Organization of the Federation Internationale De Football Association Under 17 World Cup 2023 was issued in Jakarta on September 19, 2023, antaranews.com reported This decree instructs ministers, the Commander of the Indonesian Military, the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP) , heads of institutions, and local administration officials to provide their assistance in the successful organization of the U-17 World Cup. A total of 33 entities have been directed under this Decree, including a number of Cabinet members, the Head of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency, the Head of the Government Procurement Policy Agency, the Governors of Jakarta,  West Java, Central Java, and East Java, the Mayor of Bandung, the Mayor of Surakarta, the Mayor of Surabaya, the Regent of Bandung, and the Regent of Karanganyar. President Jokowi has given specific instructions to the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture to oversee planning, preparation, and reporting on the progress of the event.
