Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has called for social harmony among the various ethnic and cultural communities that will inhabit the future capital of Nusantara (IKN) in East Kalimantan.
The President stressed that communities living near IKN would coexist with residents from different regions after the government moves the capital from Jakarta to Nusantara City in East Kalimantan.
"With the development of IKN, especially in East Kalimantan, it will become a confluence point for different cultures to interact. We hope that the interactions will be well managed and promote peaceful and harmonious living, while preserving and developing local cultural identities, values and traditions in East Kalimantan," said President Jokowi in his speech, antaranews.com reported.
Addressing the development of the IKN, President Jokowi emphasized the need for collective awareness, mutual respect and appreciation of diversity, considering "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" (Unity in Diversity) as a powerful force to build harmony, unity and togetherness.
