President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo revisited the National Capital (IKN) in Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan, on Wednesday (17/1/2024), to inaugurate the groundbreaking ceremony for crucial infrastructure projects. Departing from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta, President Jokowi, accompanied by Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir and Presidential Advisory Council member Gandi Sulistiyanto, journeyed to IKN aboard the Indonesian-1 presidential plane. Upon landing at the Sultan Aji Mahmud Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport in Balikpapan, President Jokowi continued his journey to IKN via the Indonesian Air Force Super Puma helicopter. "The President routinely checks IKN's progress and ensure its readiness for utilization during the Independence Day ceremony on August 17, 2024," stated the press release. (ar/ndt/hn/nm)
