Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto welcomed thousands of enthusiastic citizens to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Saturday (21/3/2026), hosting a traditional "open house" to celebrate Eid al-Fitr alongside his son, Didit Hediprasetyo.

"The President directly greeted and shook hands with attendees, even embracing some who were moved to tears during the gathering," the Presidential Secretariat said in a statement as reported by antaranews.com.

Accompanied by State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, the President donned a traditional white koko shirt and black peci hat while mingling with an estimated 5,000 visitors. The event featured iconic Indonesian Eid Al-Fitr dishes like ketupat and specialized entertainment for children, fostering a warm, communal atmosphere within the government grounds.

To accommodate the massive turnout, officials erected large outdoor tents to manage the crowd flow effectively. This annual tradition continues the administration's commitment to accessibility, allowing the public to engage directly with national leaders during the most significant holiday on the Indonesian calendar.
