Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto received the final report and recommendations from the Commission for the Acceleration of Indonesian National Police (INP) Reform at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (5/5/2026).
The documents were presented by Commission Chairman Jimly Asshiddiqie.
The handover ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials and commission members, including Ahmad Dofiri, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, Otto Hasibuan, Supratman Andi Agtas, and Mahfud MD. Minister of State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya were also in attendance, according to antaranews.com..
Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Correction Yusril Ihza Mahendra noted that the recommendations are substantial and could trigger a major overhaul of the police institution's institutional system.
"If approved, there will be implications for changes to the current Police Law," he said.
The Commission for the Acceleration of National Police Reform was established on November 7, 2025, through Presidential Decree No. 122/P of 2025. Its primary mission is to accelerate institutional reform, enhance professionalism, and improve governance within the National Police. While the full details of the recommendations have not yet been released to the public, the report is expected to serve as a roadmap for the future of Indonesian law enforcement.
