inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said that President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to give a speech while attending the commemoration of International Labor Day or May Day held by a coalition of Indonesian labor unions in the Monas area, Central Jakarta.
"The President immediately responded and he will attend the commemoration of International Labor Day tomorrow," Prasetyo said after a gathering with labor unions at the parliament complex, Jakarta, Wednesday (4/30/2025).
The Minister of State Secretary said that President Prabowo considers workers or laborers to be the pillars of the economy so that the government, private sector, industry, and all policy makers must work together with labor elements.
According to him, all parties must unite and move forward together to seek prosperity. There must be no one party that benefits more than the other.
"Of course, it remains within the framework and mechanisms that apply and we can discuss everything if there is something that is not quite right," he said.
On the other hand, in the upcoming May Day, KSPI raised six main issues that are the demands of workers, namely the elimination of the outsourcing system, ratification of the Domestic Workers Bill, protection of workers in the new Manpower Law, realization of living wages, ratification of the Asset Confiscation Bill, and the formation of a task force to prevent mass layoffs.
