Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto will announce and inaugurate members of the Indonesian National Police Reform Committee next week at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, according to State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, who also serves as the President’s spokesperson.
“It will be announced and inaugurated by the President next week,” he told reporters on Sunday (5/10/2025) after attending the 80th anniversary celebration of the Indonesian Military (TNI) Forces at Monas Square, as quoted by antaranews.com.
He declined to reveal the exact date or names of the committee members but hinted with a smile when asked if nine individuals would be appointed.
The committee fulfills one of President Prabowo’s campaign pledges to accelerate internal reform within the National Police (INP) following repeated public calls for accountability and institutional change.
Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra has said the committee would likely include legal experts such as Jimly Asshiddiqie and Mahfud MD.
