Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has warned government officials and public figures not to turn disaster sites into photo opportunities, stressing that visits must deliver concrete solutions for affected communities.

“I ask that officials do not come to disaster areas just to take photos and be seen,” he said during a Cabinet Plenary Meeting at the State Palace on Monday (15/12/2025). “If you come, you must help solve real problems. We do not want disaster tourism.”

The President made the statement while addressing disaster responses in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, following floods and landslides. He emphasized that victims should not be treated as objects and urged officials to focus on urgent needs such as clean water, fuel supply, access restoration, and logistics, according to antaranews.com.

Prabowo praised coordinated actions by state institutions, state-owned enterprises, and volunteers for rapid field operations. He also urged all stakeholders to avoid blame-shifting and prioritize collective action during emergencies.
