inp.polri.go.id - Lampung. Bandar Lampung Sub-regional City Police has once again tightened supervision of the use of official firearms.
All personnel holding firearms underwent a thorough inspection led by the Vice Chief of the Bandar Lampung Sub-regional City Police, Superintendent Yonirizal Khova, in the corridor of the Bandar Lampung Sub-regional City Police Headquarters on Tuesday (7/7/2026).
The inspection covered all aspects of official firearm use, including administrative completeness, the validity of loan-to-use permits, the validity of registration numbers, the physical condition of the weapons, and the quantity and condition of ammunition carried by personnel.
The Head of Public Relations for the Bandar Lampung Sub-regional City Police, Police Senior Inspector Agustina Nilawati, stated that the inspection is a routine activity as a form of internal oversight and to ensure that all personnel meet the requirements for holding official firearms.
"The use of official firearms must comply with procedures and be used only for the purpose of carrying out duties. Therefore, inspections are conducted periodically to ensure complete administration, valid loan-to-use permits, and the condition of the weapons and ammunition," said Agustina.
According to him, periodic inspections are part of the Bandar Lampung Sub-regional City Police's efforts to build a culture of discipline and professionalism within the National Police.
