Inp.polri.go.id – Nduga. The investigators of Criminal Investigation Unit of Nduga Sub-regional Police hand over suspect ED or also known as Altau to Prosecutor’s office. ED was a member of Egianus Kogoya Armed Criminal Group. Police handed over ED after he was arrested by Cartenz Peace Ops around Nabire Hospital on Tuesday (11/19/2023) as he acts as the weapons supplier for the group. Reports also states that ED was involved in various criminal campaign with Egianus Kogoya. ED was handed over along with 1 black rubber necklace, 1 black and brown beaded necklace with a pig's fang, a phone of blue VIVO Y22, and a phone of blue Nokia 105. “Prior from being handed over to the prosecutor, ED was first examined for his health conditions,” says Nduga Sub-regional Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief, First Police Inspector Jaya Bida Kedeng on Tuesday (1/9/2024). Bida adds that Altau was charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code Subsidiary to Article 338 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 365 of the Criminal Code, in conjunction with Article 55, Article 56 of the Criminal Code, and/or Article 170 of the Criminal Code. “Suspect will be apprehended temporarily by Public Prosecutor’s at Wamena class II B prison, Jayawijaya Regency, and is waiting for the trials," he said.
