Inp.polri.go.id – Riau. The Mobile Brigade of Riau Regional Police secures General Election Commission (KPU) Logistics Warehouse in support of smooth and safe election. The patrol, says Mobile Brigade Commander of Riau Regional Police Senior Superintendent Dwi Yanto Nugroho, aims to prevent security disruptions potential ahead the 2024 General Election. “We also want to ensure that the ballots in the logistics warehouse is safe and sound, moreover as Riau is in rainy season,” adds Dwi. As the patrol was conducted, Dwi explains that the focus in preventive measures could also help realize a safe and secure situation in Riau. It is worth to note that around 300 people have volunteered to prepares and checked the legislative ballots in the KPU logistic warehouse. The Head of Pekanbaru City KPU, Anto Merciyanto confirms that his party have employed the 300 volunteers to sort and fold the ballot papers. “We seek those who are experts in folding as we have to fold around 4 million ballots,” says Anto. “With around 300 volunteers employed for this job, we estimated that it will be completed in 20 days,” conclude Anto.
