In providing an easy-access medium for the community to report their missing or stolen vehicles, Tuban Sub-regional Police showcased their new innovation with the launching of “Ilmu Semeru” app. The app is said to be linked to all Sub-regional polices in East Java. People who had lost their bikes could easily report the case through the app downloaded from Playstore. The report is also considerably easy, which starts by registrating the account and fill-in the motorcycle info according to the format provided by the app. Other than reporting the missing motorcycle, the app could also help search the missing vehicle. By registrating the motorcycle information in the app, user would get the information when their missing vehicle was found and where to get it. In his official statement, the head of prisoner and evidence care unit, First Police Inspector Imam Sarno states that the app also provides information and evidence of a motorcycle that has been secured by police around East Java. “If it has been secured by the police, the user would be informed with where to find the vehicle,” he said on Thursday (9/28/2023). Meanwhile, the Traffic Unit Chief of Tuban Sub-regional Police, Police Commissioner Adjutant Kadek Aditya Yasa Putra ensured that the missing vehicle would pop-up in the app if the user put the information correctly. With this new app, it is hoped that public would be assisted with the easy-access of the app in reporting the missing vehicle.
