Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. National Police Commission (Kompolnas) appreciated Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, firmness in uncovering match fixing in Liga 2. “The alert and the firmness of the Police Chief in his act against football mafia as ordered by the President have made the Indonesian football to be cleaner and professional,” says Kompolnas Commissioner, Poengky Indarti quoted from pmjnews on Thursday (9/28/2023). Poengky assessed that since long before, the Indonesian Football progress was halted due to its mafia. Indonesia has huge potentials and many talented football athletes, and it is such unfortunate it was plagued by mafia. “Our football league has been so weak for so long because of these mafias. It is quite ironic due to Indonesia’s human resources that has could be well enhanced. Which is why this mafia take down is very important to do,” explained Poengky. Poengky adds that this football mafia has damaged the sportsmanship and tainted the Indonesian football league.
